| Wonderful performances by Michael Kitchen and Joan Plowright but Josie Lawrence steals the show. I watch this whenever I'm blue and am so happy to own it. It's an intelligent, believable adult fairy tale. The camera work is beyond excellent and the music is superb even as it is unobtrusive. Best of all, it's the opposite of Hollywood. That means no cookie cutter beauties, no slick easy answers, no pasting over awkward moments by incompetent writers with tired pop tunes. This is the real deal folks: a work of art (with humor). |

| This was the first Marvel Comic movie! I love it! As a child, I loved it, and I watched it a few hours ago, and I still love it! It's awesome that a duck from another world named Howard is transferred to Earth and the lead singer from the rock band Cherry Bomb named Beverly is in trouble and Howard helps her. After that, they become good friends. As Howard is stuck on Earth, he tries to get a job and scientists want to study him, so Beverly, Phil, and Dr. Jenning try to help him. Something bad happens to the machine and a Dark Overlord takes over Jenning's body. Later, Jenning takes Beverly as a hostage and Howard and Phil must save her before the Dark Overlord summons his friends and destroys all life on Earth. The special effects are awesome! The look of the film is of the classic 80's! I highly recommend it! HOWARD THE DUCK IS A NEW BREED OF HERO!!!p.s. RELEASE THE DVD IN AMERICA ALREADY!!! |

If your looking to educate your children about the gods this isn't the right movie. However, if you want a little play-off on the gods and goddesses this is perfect. | This is one of my favorite all time films. Definitely the best movie ever starring Lucille Ball. I am a long time Lucy fan, but that being said even if you didn't enjoy her television shows, this movie is a comedy film that should appeal to about anyone. None of the slapstick humor and dizzy redhead stuff you might imagine there to be. Lucy and Desi tie the knot and buy a long trailer house with all the modern features of the day. They set out as honeymooners Nicky and Tacy, off to introduce Nicky to Tacy's family. A lot of weird stuff happens on their journey to make this a long long honeymoon which just might bring a few second thoughts about ever having gotten married. I highly recommend this one to anyone. All the professionalism you have come to expect from these two hollywood moguls. A very delightful film and very well done in every aspect. |

| There are so many scenes in this movie that are hysterical, including the scene where Patrick Dempsey's character gets busted by the dean of his school because his brother hung him out to dry, but the scene where the three brothers are arguing over the lyrics to Louie-Louie is one of a kind. Anyone who loves this movie (and it's absolutely one of my all time favorites) will get a grin by this one word...."wang on". Just the perfect family movie. Without being all gooey and sweet. |
